Magical Galapagos Islands!

Some places reel you in from the moment you land. You have an emotional connection instantly to the place. I have had that moment several times in my 7 years of traveling. There are some places that overwhelm you and you leave the place in awe filled with gratitude to have witnessed something special. Manchu pichu was one of them for me and now Galápagos Islands joins that list. When we decided to go to galapagos, I knew what to expect. I had visited islands before and I had seen pictures of the animals. Being a nerd, I knew Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection originated there. I knew it all or so I believed. But what I did not realize was it would become the happiest place on earth for me. It was my Disney land! Galapagos Islands had surprises for me every day… Sometimes it was a seal chilling on a chair by the water taxi stop, sometimes it was a pelican that landed near me, birds that perfectly posed for my pictures and in some instants it was the modeling iguanas. It felt magical to say the very least.

We stayed in Santa Cruz/ puerto Ayora islands of the Galapagos for five days. Those five days reminded me of the simplicity of life without televisions and phones. We spent our time being dazzled by seals, iguanas and tortoises who played perfect hosts. They made sure we were reminded of who the islands belonged to. Whether we were waiting for a taxi or swimming in the pool, we were joined by some animal or bird. The swimming pool was governed by the duck while seals took care of the taxi stands. While I will write specific posts of the different places we visited, here are some of my favorite magical moments from my Disney land- Galapagos!
